Un soldat des Navy Seals, sa copine et leurs amis ont pris la route pour la Nouvelle-Orléans. Le groupe fait une halte dans un petit magasin dont propriétaire leur narre la légende de Lockjaw, une créature divine moitié-homme, moitié-alligator. La légende dit qu?un certain Grimley aurait perdu sa famille, dévorée par un monstrueux alligator blanc, un évènement qui l'a conduit à la folie...
