Caine Farrowood est un chasseur de primes qui travaille sous le contrôle de l'impitoyable pilier roi Loomweather. Un jour, la récupération de la prime se passe mal et Caine est laissé pour mort. Juste au moment où il pense que sa vie est finie, il se réveille mystérieusement chez lui dans le confort de sa femme Christina.
