Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, au large des côtés écossaises, un sous-marin allemand attend les instructions piour détruire la flotte britannique. Le commandant Hardt doit rencontrer Jill, une institutrice à la solde des allemands afin qu'elle lui procure de nouvelles informations.
